14° Round Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series 2013

Spettacolo Arancione

SX 250
Fourth success of the season for Marvin Musquin (Red Bull KTM….). The suspense-filled Minneapolis Main Event once again confirmed that the battle for the Championship is between the KTM rider and Wil Hahn (GEICO HONDA), with very few chances for Blake Wharton. At the 3rd lap Musquin is already 5 seconds ahead of Hahn with Tyler Bowers and Wharton in 3rd and 4th. At lap 10, the leader has ten seconds on Hahn, Bowers is now 5th with Wharton alone in 3rd, positions that did not change until the chequered flag. The gap between the leader Hahn and Musquin is now only 5 points.

SX 450
Spectacular battle between Ryan Dungey (Red Bull KTM) and Ryan Villopoto, with a win for the Minnesota-born rider who took away from the Red Devil Villopoto the chance to get his 9th seasonal win. It was head-to-head until lap 15 with Dungey right at Villopoto’s wheel, with less of a second advantage. With 4 laps to go Dungey gets the fastest lap of the race and attacks Villopoto, gaining the lead but only for a brief moment. It isn’t over though and in front of a crazily cheering crowd Dungey attacks again, re-gains the lead and finishes first. Villopoto is still solid in the lead and, save unexpected surprises, should win the Championship again.
