We arrived at mid-season with the ninth GP of 18, which was held at "Mottaccio del Balmone" in Maggiora. The Italian Grand Prix was marked by variable weather conditions, which have gone by violent storms to the summer sun. In the  MXGP, was Romain Febvre (Yamalube Yamaha Factory Racing) the winner of the race centering his second victory on the Yamaha 450 factory equipped with the control unit GP1 Evo and the data acquisition system M40. After the victory of the first race, the Frenchman competed in the second race with the bike damaged after a fall but still managed to bring home the success. Behind him, Kevin Strijbos (Suzuki - Rockstar Energy) that led to the second step of the podium the Athena - GET data acquisition system M40 . Excellent fourth place for David Philippaerts (DP 19 Racing Yamaha) who was also in competition with products Athena - GET. GP unfortunate for the defending champion Tony Cairoli (KTM Red Bull Factory) that in qualifying on Saturday fell and injured left forearm bringing a small bone breach that compromised the race performance. In the first heat he was able to finish in seventh place while in race 2 he had to surrender to pain ending his race in eighteenth position. In the championship, TC222 still in second place, 30 points less from the leader. In MX2, he continues the march of Jeffrey Herlings who managed to win the second race, and finish at second place in the GP, always riding his KTM 250 SX-F supported by Athena-GET. The Netherlands remains firmly in the lead of the overall standings with 139 points ahead of second. Third place for the Swiss Jeremy Seewer (Suzuki Rokstar Energy Europe) always in competition with the data acquisition system M40.

The world championship motocross moves directly in Germany, in Teutschenthal, where, during the weekend of June 20 - 21 will be held the tenth GP of the season.
