The twelfth GP of 2105 was held on "Zelta Zirgs" of Kegums, in Latvia, about fifty kilometers from the capital Riga. Tough weather conditions characterized the whole weekend with a heavy rain that opened the race day. The sandy soil has stood up well, but the riders have found a tough track that highlighted their features. In the MX2 class the news of the day was the absence of the overall leader Jeffrey Herlings, injured in the GP of Sweden last week and forced to miss the game due to injury reported to the little finger of the left hand. Worthy substitute of  the Dutchman, was home rider Paul Jonass (Red Bull KTM Factory) who led his KTM supported by Athena GET ranked second overall in the day. Almost podium instead, for Jeremy Seewer (Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe) who finished the race in fourth position. In MXGP instead, first GP victory for the Dutchman Glen Coldenhoff (Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe) which used during the race, the data acquisition system M40 by Athena - GET. Thirdplace of the day for Romain Febvre (Yamaha Factory Racing Yamalube) that continues to lead the standings riding the factory Yamaha 450 equipped with the control unit GP1 Evo and the data acquisition system M40. Fourth overall for Kevin Strijbos (Suzuki - Rockstar Energy) that once again used during the race, the data acquisition  system M40 by Athena - GET. Performance at top level by Antonio Cairoli (KTM Red Bull Factory) always riding his KTM 450 SX-F supported by Athena - GET. The defending champion, although without training after one month later the injury occurred in Maggiora, has managed to finishing twice in fourth position, fifth overall. The Breaking on his left arm did not allow to make the best performance, but TC222 never ceases to surprise all the fans.

The world championship motocross race will return in two weeks in Czech Republic, in Loket, where the weekend of july 25-26, will be held the thirteenth GP of the season.
