The world motocross championship has moved on the Iberian peninsula on the "Cerro Negro" circuit of Talavera de la Reina, about 120 kilometers southwest of Madrid, in order to face the ninth round of eighteen, scheduled in the calendar. The Dutchman won all nine races held so far, and leads the overall standings with more than a hundred points ahead of second place. Third step of the podium to his teammate Pauls Jonass (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) who was also riding the KTM 250 SXF supported by GET Athena. In the class MXGP reserved for powerful bikes from 450 cc, was Romain Febvre (Monster Energy Yamaha Racing Team) who rode on his Yamaha YZF 450 equipped with the control unit RX1 EVO, the data acquisition system M40 and the innovative Launch Control LC-GPA system, to achieve the best result of the riders "branded" Athena - GET, winning the sixth place overall. Unlucky day for Antonio Cairoli (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) who finished the GP "only" in seventh place, always riding the KTM 450 SXF supported by Athena GET. The Sicilian failed to remedy two not perfect starts and his comebacks were arrested on the fifth and ninth, in the two disputed races. Behind him in the standings of the day, (eighth overall), Jeremy Van Horebeek (Monster Energy Yamaha Racing Team) who rode on his Yamaha YZF 450 equipped with the control unit RX1 EVO, the data acquisition system M40 and the innovative Launch Control LC-GPA system.
